Tyrone had a strong showing at the 26th annual Bald Eagle Invitational at Lock Haven University, with the boys placing 8th and the girls placing 12th in a 27-team field.
Top individual finishers for the Golden Eagles were Rebecca Lewis, Bree Paul, Nicole Ramsey, Brady Ronan, and Rocky Romani.
The top 10 finishers for the Golden Eagles were as follows:
All three of the boys relay teams placed. The 4×800 relay team ran a new personal best (8:29), improving by 13 seconds from their previous best. The performance earned them third place overall.
The 4×400 team finished in 3:34, which placed them 5th.
The 4×100 team, though with an underwhelming performance, still earned a 7th-place finish (45.18).
Tyrone had strong individual performances as well.
Brady Ronan placed second in the boys long jump (21-10.25) and was fourth in the 200-meter dash (23.37).
Aiden Detwiler finished seventh in the 800 run (2:07.16) and was eighth in the 1600 run (4:45.97), which was a new personal best.
Rocky Romani broke his former personal best as well, as he placed sixth in the 400 dash (52.58).
On the girls’ side, senior Rebecca Lewis finished third in the long jump (16-7) and was seventh in the 200 dash (27.84)
Bree Paul placed third in the 300 hurdles (48.26).
Nicole Ramsey finished fourth in the triple jump (34-2.25) and was eighth in the long jump (15-10.5).
Addison Warren was eighth in the pole vault (8-0).
The Tyrone girls 4×100 relay team was fifth in 51.96.
The girls 4×400 meter relay was seventh with a 4:22.88
