The Tyrone Lady Eagles earned an exciting 3-0 win over Bald Eagle on senior night. Before the game, Tyrone seniors Piper Myers, Jaysa Carns, Hailey Loupe, and Marissa Cacciotti were honored.
The Eagles controlled the game with an early goal by Kadence Berry, clocking in at just 17 seconds.
“Everything went significantly well. We came out with energy and were ready to win. Our mindsets were all in the game with no distractions. We were already in a good place from our last game. Our morale is high for future games as well,” Captain Kadence Berry said.
Following Berry’s goal, minutes later, Maya Plummer scored one of her two goals of the night.
Heading into the second half, the ladies stayed hungry, looking for a third goal. As the second half continued, the Lady Eagles controlled the ball, looking to find the back of the net and a win on their senior night.
Halfway through the second half, Plummer found her second goal of the game.
However, the game was not over, and junior Pyper Sparklin faced multiple shots as the game was closing out, saving them all to preserve the shutout.
“Overall, I think we played pretty well given the circumstances. It was terrifying seeing Allie get hurt, but as a team we pulled through and got the win,” said Pyper Sparklin.
