Freshman Jaida Parker, left, led the team with 18 points.

The Lady Eagles fell short to the Lady Rams at Penns Valley Friday night, 48-42, their first Mountain League loss of the season.

Freshman Jaida Parker led the team with 18 points, while senior Sydney Shaw scored the second highest with 12.

The Lady Eagles had a rough start to the game, with only 6 points at half time, while Penns Valley had 23.

However, the Lady Eagles battled back in the second half, outscoring Penns Valley 15-8 in the third quarter and 21-17 in the fourth.

“I think we played very well in the second half, but in the first half we got off to a slow start,” said Shaw.

The Lady Eagles dug themselves a hole and were not able to battle back hard enough to get a win. They look to improve on shooting and staying out of foul trouble in the next few games.
