Emma Getz drives to the hoop

The Tyrone Lady Eagles continued their dominance in the Mountain League Friday night when they blew out Bald Eagle 61-29 on senior night to stay perfect in the Mountain League.

The Lady Eagles had another excellent three point shooting night getting almost half of their points courtesy of the three pointer. The Lady Eagles knocked down 10 threes. Stephanie Ramsey had four threes and finished the game with 15 points.

Jaida Parker added 13 points to go along with two threes from Shannon Shaw who finished with 8.  Maci Brodzina finished with 9 points all coming from the long ball.  Emma Getz finished with 7 points while knocking down one three.

Just like the rest of the games during Tyrone’s hot stretch, they had the game in hand from the opening tip off. They were not about to send senior Linsday Fusco home with a loss on her senior night.

The Lady Eagles were hot the entire game,  but after the first half of play Bald Eagle’s hopes of spoiling senior night were squashed. Tyrone held an air tight 33-15 lead after the first half of play.

The second half was just another dominating half by the Lady Eagles as their defense held Bald Eagle to even less points than in the first half. Tyrone scored 28 points in the second half while only allowing Bald Eagle to score 14.

With the victory Tyrone moves to 14-2 on the season. They are back in action Wednesday when they travel to Philipsburg for a rematch with the Mounties.
