The Tyrone Lady Eagles improved their chances of getting into the playoffs with a 4-0 win against the Penns Valley Lady Rams.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Rockwell struck out ten batters and allowed just three hits in a complete-game shutout that helped Tyrone take down Penns Valley.
It was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when junior Amariah Sprankle hit a single to start the inning, sophomore Lucy Fogelman hit a single, and Sprankle stole home, scoring the first run of the game.
The score remained the same until the bottom of the sixth inning. The inning started with a single from Rockwell, a walk from Sprankle, a single from Fogleman scoring one, and a double from freshman Sage Harris scoring two.
Sage Harris drove in two runs for the Lady Eagles, and Lucy Fogleman had two hits and an RBI.
