Tyrone dominated Johnstown at home last week with a 17-0 victory.
Tyrone was able to get on the scoreboard within just a few minutes. The first goal was scored by Bellwood’s Briley Campbell, and assisted by Adriene Maloney.
Johnstown had a tough time keeping possession, losing the ball quickly to Tyrone’s speed on the pitch. Tyrone controlled the ball throughout with their fast midfield players and solid defense consisting of Becca Lewis, Sarah Chichester, Kenzie Sollner, and Maddy Whitby.
In the first forty minutes, Tyrone was able to score ten unanswered goals against Johnstown.
Freshman Olivia Newlin and Allie Blaska both collected their first high school hat tricks.
In the second half, Tyrone picked up an astounding seven goals to bring the final to 17-0.
Sophomore Chase Yaniello and Amyra Snyder both also scored the first varsity goals of their high school careers.
Johnstown struggled to get down the field against Tyrone’s aforementioned defense, and were not able to put up a single shot on goal.
The Tyrone Lady Eagles imporved their record to 4-7.
