Lady Eagles roll Past Rams; Stay Perfect in Mt. League

The Tyrone Lady Eagles extended their lead atop the Mountain League Wednesday night when they defeated the Penns Valley Rams 54-35. 

Penns Valley was able to keep pace with Tyrone in the first half but the Lady Eagles pulled away in the second half to secure the victory. Tyrone was lead by the sophomore trio of Jaida Parker, Stephanie Ramsey, and Emma Getz.

Jaida Parker led all scorers with 21 points. Emma Getz had 12 and Ramsey had 10. Tyrone hit three shots from deep with Parker hitting 2 and Ramsey with the other. 

The game was tight through the first quarter with Tyrone only holding a one-point 13-12 lead over the Rams. Penns Valley fought to keep it close in the second half but Tyrone was able to hold a slim lead going into the half.

The Lady Eagles started to pull away in the third quarter as they outscored the Rams 12-6 cushioning their slim lead going into the fourth quarter.  Tyrone closed out the game with ease moving their record to 11-2 on the season with a perfect 8-0 record in the Mountain League.

They look to extend their win streak on Friday when they welcome the Huntingdon Bearcats looking to beat them just as easily as the did in the first meeting between the two teams.
