Lady Eagles Lose Hard Fought Game

The Lady Eagles lost on the road to the Claysburg-Kimmel Lady Bulldogs 59-52.

Tyrone junior Sydney Shaw led in scoring with four shots from 3-point range and was 3-of-3 at the line for 21 points.

Sophomore Mia Kosoglow netted a career-high 12 points.

The team had a very rough first half, heading to the locker room down 15.

Coach Rhoades started the second half of play with a different group of girls, in hopes of finding a spark that would bring the Lady Eagles back into the game.

“We need to start playing the whole game as hard as we played in the second half and then we will start seeing better results,” said sophomore guard Kelsey Johnson.

The Eagles battled back to a three-point deficit but with a few missed shots and controversial calls from the officials, they weren’t able to grab the lead.
