Lady Eagles Core Four Dominate on Senior Night
The core four of Emily Lehman, Sydney Shaw, Mia Kosoglow and Payton Wagner led the Lady Eagles to a 77-33 beat-down of Central Mountain to secure the victory on Tyrone’s senior night.
Shaw and Lehman led all scorers with 19 points each. Tyrone also got 16 points from Kosoglow and 11 points from Wagner.
The Lady Eagles came out of the tip red hot, starting the game on a 21-2 first-quarter run and never looked back.
“I was proud of how we played and I was glad to close out my final regular season game at home with a victory like that,” said senior Emily Lehman.
No matter how hard Central Mountain tried they could not slow down the combo of Lehman, Shaw, Kosoglow and Wagner, as Tyrone continued to dominate in the second quarter.
“It felt good to win that big on senior night,” said senior Payton Wagner.
The Lady Eagles played the second quarter with the same fire and passion as the opening frame. They dominated Central Mountain again outscoring them 20-8, going into halftime holding a commanding 46-12 lead.
The Lady Eagles dominated again in the third quarter keeping Central Mountain on the ropes, not giving them any hope of making any sort of a comeback. The third quarter came to a close with Tyrone still on top of Central Mountain, as they held a 62-20 lead.
The Lady Eagles closed out the game without any problems ending with the Lady Eagles victorious 77-33. With the win they extended their hot streak to now having won 8 out of their last 9 contests.
