The Tyrone Lady Eagles fell to the Clearfield Lady Bison last night 7-2, after celebrating senior night.  

The Lady Eagles celebrated seniors Anna Baran, MacKenzie Eaken, and Kalea Hammond.  All three received flowers and gifts.

“I can’t believe that senior night already happened,” said Hammond.  “It really does travel by so fast.  Make sure you enjoy playing sports while it lasts, because it goes by so fast.”

Senior Anna Baran led the Eagles with a double and pitched six strong innings with seven strikeouts.  Along with Baran, Eaken and junior Hailey Durbin each singled, giving the Lady Eagles their only hits.

Freshman Megan Tepsic hit in both runs on a walk and a deep sacrifice fly to center.

The Lady Eagles had six errors, putting the game out of reach at the end of the 4th inning.

“We played a better game,” said head coach Peter Baran.  “We still gave up 6 unearned runs on errors.  Anna pitched another great game and Megan had two RBIs, giving us our only runs.”

The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Friday, May 6th at home against the Bellefonte Lady Raiders.
