This past Tuesday’s first set of the match between the Lady Eagles and the Lady Raiders of Bellefonte, junior Kylee Nelson got her 1000th dig in her varsity volleyball career.
This is an incredibly rare accomplishment that not many players reach, especially at the high school level.
Nelson has been the team’s starting libero since her freshman year.
Since then she has done nothing but succeed in both her physical game and her ability to connect with her teammates on the court.
Nelson helped the team get into the state playoffs last season and hopes to repeat that accomplishment this season.
To her teammates, Nelson is a determined and hardworking player and leader who is never anything but happy to be playing the game she loves.
“Watching Kylee hit her 500th dig to her 1000th was so cool to see,” sophomore Abby Anthony said, “It feels really good to be a part of such a successful program.”
Her coaches and family couldn’t be more proud to see how far she’s come and can’t wait to see what she does in the future.
Congrats Kylee on hitting this incredible milestone.
