Eagle Eye: What was your funniest or most interesting moment as a teacher?
Joshua Zupon: I have had many during my 7 year tenure. The ones that stand out the most are the Community Based Instruction Trips we take as a class. They are always extremely educational, but at the same time, a very enjoyable experience. I enjoy seeing the students grow in the community and academically. I also appreciate seeing them have fun.
EE: What was your most memorable moment as a teacher?
JZ: Wow-there have been so many. I think one that certainly stands out is when a student of mine got an A in a class he was struggling with and was also scared to take. The teacher did such a great job with this student and inclusion truly worked. That was a major highlight. The teachers at TASD are always so accepting and welcoming of my students. We do a great job of including students and making sure they are succeeding.
EE: Where did you go to college? What degrees do you hold?
JZ: Slippery Rock University (the Harvard of PA) class of 2008. I have degrees in Elementary and Special Education.
EE: What is your favorite/indulgent food?
JZ: Wings/Pizza/French Fries/Chicken Fingers-Anything Unhealthy/Fried.
EE: What would you be doing if you were not teaching?
JZ: Something in Sports-Coach/Athletic Director/Academic adviser to athletes or a mailman.

This guy is the Mark Zuckerberg of teaching, he’s leaps and bounds above the rest. I’m proud to say that not only do I know him, but I have eaten fried food with him. In Josh we trust!
