EE: Why did you choose to play tennis?
Isabella Rhoades: I wanted to play a fall sport and I hate running and soccer so tennis was the only other option and all of my friends were playing.
EE: What was your favorite part about playing?
IS: The van rides and going out to eat after matches.
EE: What was your favorite memory from tennis?
IS: Grace Rose skidding across the pavement at Windber while playing 4-square.
EE: What was your favorite team to play and why?
IS: Hollidaysburg, we always celebrated Senior Night with them 9th-12th grade. It was fun to celebrate the seniors after playing a match with them.
EE: What school had the best courts to play on?
IS: Altoona’s courts.
EE: What do you plan to do after graduation?
IS: I plan to go to Penn State Altoona undecided.
EE: Do you think you will continue to play tennis?
IS: I hope so.
EE: How had playing tennis impacted your life?
IS: I made a lot of new friends, and I learned the importance of hard work.
EE:What would you say to people who want to play tennis?
IS: You don’t need a bunch of fancy equipment to be good.
EE: What advice would you give to younger players?
IS: Listen to Coach K and always ride in his van.
