Inside the huddle with Andrew Bartos: Central Edition
Every week of the season senior OL/DL Andrew Bartos gives his unique perspective on the Golden Eagle football team.
Coming off an intense win last Friday against Bellwood winning 18-14, we transition into Central week.
Central is a team that Tyrone has not beaten in the last two years.
With us and Central both getting week 1 wins this should be a great match-up as it is every year.
This week ,as with every other week, we have to have perfection on and off of the field.
Central doesn’t have a whole lot of experience on the field after graduating nearly 20 players, but they are still a very athletic, competitive team.
Coming out of week one we know our line can handle things up front. Our running game is sound. We just need a little tweaking on our pass game and then we will be a well-rounded team.
On defense we need to work on the deep ball and tackling but this week of practice has shown great improvements in all areas for our team.
On Friday, there is a high of 86 so this could very well be the hottest game of our season. We need to hydrate and prevent cramps.
Our team will win because we have the needed experience, we will Out-Condition Our Opponent, and we will be playing old school Tyrone, smash-mouth football like always.
It’s all about #5 tonight boys…let’s get lucky
