The Tyrone High School HOSA Club will sponsor a Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, December 14th from 8:30 am to 2 pm in the TAHS gymnasium.
HOSA Adviser Christie Taylor urges students, staff, and the public to give blood this winter.
“Anyone who can should give blood because there has been a critical need for blood. Since COVID donations have dropped rapidly,” said HOSA Adviser Christie Taylor.
HOSA’s goal is 29-32 units of blood.
Donors must be at least 16 years old with parental consent, or 17 without parental consent.
Donors must be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. They also can not donate if they have donated in the past 56 days.
Those who received tattoos or piercings in the last year are not permitted to donate.
Eligible students can sign up during all lunch periods.
