TAHS Marching Band prepares for home show this weekend
The Tyrone marching band hosts its annual home show
The Tyrone Area High School marching band will be hosting its annual home show this weekend, Saturday, October 4, at Gray-Veteran’s Memorial Field from 7 pm to roughly 9 pm.
Admission for the competition will be $7 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. There will also be 11 other band from throughout Chapter 11 of the Tournament of Bands competing at the show.
Not only does the show bring in needed finances for the band but it also helps boost the knowledge and support of not only the school’s band program, but band programs throughout the area.
It also serves as inspiration to the members of the band to work hard even towards the end of the competition season.
“It’s always one of the biggest shows of the season for us,” says band president Carrie Vance, “it gives us an opportunity to show the town what we do.”
For several weeks the band has been working to finish their 2014 show “Night Moods”,
The band will debut the show at the competition. Be one of the first to see the completed show!
