October is the time of the year for pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and above all, haunted houses.
Pennsylvania is full of some of the greatest fright-filled haunted attractions. With only a handful of weekends left in October, trying to find a good haunted house can be stressful. So to help make the choice of which one to go to a little bit easier, here are the top 5 haunted houses in Pennsylvania this October.
REAPER’S REVENGE
Reaper’s Revenge Haunted Hayride and Attractions in Scranton features five different haunts. Begin the journey into a whopping 66 acres of dark trails and creatures by climbing aboard this tractor-pulled hay wagon. Then make your way to the Lost Carnival, a sideshow of clowns, freaks, and many other oddities. Set foot in Delirium, a world of multiple dimensions before plunging into Pitch Black, an old light bulb factory where the darkness consumes. Finally, undertake the post-nuclear attack world of Sector 13.
Reaper’s Revenge is a mesmerizing maze of oddity. The sets and props all around are beautifully made and very pleasing to analyze, from eyes in the woods to giant “falling” signs. The actors are fantastic at what they do and really immerse you in the scene. The wait times aren’t bad most nights as they keep groups moving at a steady pace with lots of entertainment between attractions.
General admission is $59.00, $69.00 on select premium nights, with the VIP ticket package costing $89.00, $99.00 on select premium nights. Individual attraction prices are not available.
Parking is only $3.00 at the parking lot attendance gate.

FIELD OF SCREAMS
Field of Screams in Lancaster is a well-known haunted attraction with four terrifying haunts. The property is a free-roam area with actors, food vendors, games, and merchandise shops. You can pick and choose what order you would like to visit the attractions. The Haunted Hayride takes you on a horrifying ride into the depths of the dark and sinister cornfield. The Den of Darkness, three stories of terror as you creep through the halls and mazes of the 200 year-old original barn. Frightmare Asylum with its 4 floor bone chilling madness of the demented and the deranged. Nocturnal Wasteland, face the mutant creatures hiding in the overgrown vegetation surrounding you.
Field of Screams is definitely a must-visit attraction for anyone who loves haunted experiences. One of the best parts is being able to walk around, play games, grab some food, and shop for cool merchandise before choosing which haunted attraction to try first. The sets are super detailed and really help create a creepy, realistic atmosphere, and the actors completely commit to their roles, making the whole experience even more thrilling.

Triple Combo is $38.00 and grants one-time entry to any three attractions. Double Combo is $35.00 for one one-time entry to any two attractions. IMAGINARIUM SANITARIUM

Cressen Sanitorium’s Imaginarium Sanitarium House of Blood and WAR is a great attraction for any age group. The House of Blood is a visually stimulating walk with little to no jump scares at some points and is great for younger children or scaredy cats. WAR is a faster-paced, intense attraction better suited for people looking for the thrill of a more extreme haunted house.
Combo admission for both haunts, $30.00 for anyone over twelve and $15.00 for children twelve and under. House of Blood, less intense, and WAR, more intense, single haunt admission is $18.00 for over twelve and $10.00 for under twelve. SCARY HARRY’S
Scary Harry’s in Homer Center features a long winding trail connecting the many different spooky areas. This year’s theme is the Web of Fears. Can you untangle the web you have woven over the years? It features an overgrown greenhouse infested with snakes, a haunted graveyard, a haunted hotel, and much more.
Scary Harry’s is a great stop for people of any age. There is little to no wait most nights and the ticket prices are very affordable, making it easy for families or groups to enjoy. The sets are creative and detailed, adding to the spooky atmosphere. The actors are all very good at what they do, making the experience both fun and scary. It’s the perfect place to go if you want a good fright and a night full of fun.
To walk the trail tickets cost $20.00 a person. This haunted house runs from September 26, 2025 to October 31, 2025 Fridays to Sundays 7-11pm.

HORRORWEEN HAUNTED WAREHOUSE
Horrorween Haunted Warehouse is a small haunted house in the basement of The Bricktown Museum. This little haunt is used as a fundraiser to help the club’s museum. The attraction features a twisting maze of terrifying rooms fit with props, decorations, and actors.
The cost for this haunted house is $10 a person. With the added bonus of staying inside and out of the cold as well as small vendors inside the museum selling art and food. The haunted house runs through October every Friday and Saturday night from 7-11 pm.
Horrorween Haunted Warehouse is a great stop for anyone looking for a fun and spooky night during the Halloween season. The attraction features several rooms and sets that are very well-made, especially considering its smaller scale.There are a variety of creative props, eerie decorations, and animatronics that bring each scene to life. The actors do a great job of staying in character and keeping guests on edge with unexpected scares and suspenseful moments. Horrorween Haunted Warehouse manages to deliver an entertaining mix of fright and fun.
