The Tyrone Boys Varsity Soccer team traveled to Huntington last week to play the Bearcats. Tyrone went into the game with a 9-5 record, and the Bearcats were 8-7.
Tyrone dominated the first half, controlling the ball throughout and giving up just a few shots on goal to Huntingdon.
After several good chances, Tyrone’s Noah Gulvas scored first to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead.
Tyrone was dominating Huntington’s defense by creating combinations in the midfield and looking for the diagonal cross, leading to many chances on goal.
In the second half, Tyrone came out fast and tough, trying to break down Huntington’s defense again. Junior Tytus Novak scored, and it gave Tyrone lots of energy to stop Huntingdon’s defense and win the game.
But Huntingdon did not give up and responded with a goal, but Tyrone locked in and played great defense to stop them from scoring again.
The Golden Eagles emerged victorious, 2-1
