The Tyrone girls’ varsity soccer team lost to Hollidaysburg on Monday, September 8th.
The girls struggled to control the ball against the Lady Tigers. When they could win the ball, they wouldn’t let them keep it for long, leading to a 5-0 loss.
“We had trouble communicating as a team, and our miscommunication led to their goals. We tried our best, but our performance was not good enough to stop them from scoring, “ senior defender Jaysa Carns said.
Hollidayburg came with a fight and scored two goals in the first half.
In the second half, Hollidaysburg came out even more aggressively, which broke down the Tyrone girls’ defense, leading to three more Hollidaysburg goals.
The girls are in action again tonight at Bishop Guilfoyle.
