The Lady Eagles held 9-3 Bishop Guilfoyle scoreless in the first half, but gave up three goals in the second half in a 3-0 lost at home.
“Thursday we played well and the team was doing really well. But BG is just a great team. To think we held them 0-0 in the whole first half is crazy,” said sophomore Aubrey Biter.
Guilfoyle had many attempts at goal and corner kicks in the first half but Tyrone goalkeeper Pyper Sparklin was able to stop all nine shots in the first half.
Tyrone defender Sarah Chicester also did well limiting BG’s chances, stopping their speedy forwards on many chances.
Freshman Kadence Berry had one of Tyrone’s best chances of the game. She came down the left side on a breakaway but was stopped by BG goalkeeper CeCe Rumfola who came off her line to challenge Berry at the top of the 18.
Sparklin made many good saves, but some of the amazing saves happened with 24 minutes and 3 seconds remaining in the first half, and 8 minutes and 42 seconds remaining in the first half.
Bishop had many attempts within the first 5 minutes of the second half.
The first goal of the game happened 5 minutes and 59 seconds into the second half, it was a shot from right inside the 18 by forward Hailey DeGol.
The Lady Eagles also had some attempts from goal, but Guilfoyle keeper CeCe Rumfola stopped them all.
With 12 minutes and 16 seconds remaining in the second half, Bishop Guilfoyle midfielder Ava Gusihuauser made a goal from the corner of the 18 box.
The Lady Maradaur’s third goal of the game was an accident, with 10 minutes and 4 seconds remaining, Guilfoyle tried for a goal in the corner of the net, but it hit off of a Tyrone player and into the goal.
Tyrone had an attempt at goal with 4 minutes and 3 seconds remaining that was just too high.
