Mrs. LaBarbera

Mrs. Jessica LaBarbera is the new mathematics long term substitute for Mrs. Erica Martin.

Eagle Eye: Where did you go to high school?

Jessica LaBarbera: Pleasant Valley High School in Brodheadsville, PA 

EE: Where did you go to college?

JL: Wilkes University.

EE: Why do you like math?

JL: “There are multiple ways to work through problems. I like to treat math as “puzzles” to solve. I’m also certified to teach K-6 any subject, and 7-12 math.”

EE: Did you play any sports in high school?

JL: “I played soccer for a community team. I was also on the volleyball team just for fun.”

EE: What is your favorite movie?

JL: “I don’t really have a favorite movie. I watch shows more. My favorite shows are Parks and Rec and Burn Notice.”

EE: What is your favorite food?

JL: “Buffalo chicken pizza or mozzarella sticks. Yum! Really, anything with cheese.”

EE: What do you like to do on your free time?

JL: “I go kayaking, hiking, camping, cross country skiing. My husband and I have two dogs that we take everywhere!”

Mrs. LaBarberas’ advice for her students this year is “Be positive and smile. It goes a long way!”
