Four Tyrone seniors, three boys and one girl, will represent the Golden Eagles on the Blair County All-Star team for the 18th annual Altoona Mirror Basketball Classic at Penn State Altoona on Thursday, April 3. The girls’ game tips off at 6:30 pm, with the boys to follow at 8:30 pm.

The Tyrone boys had a disappointing end to their 18-4 season, losing in the opening round of the playoffs to Penn Cambria, ending their season without reaching the district championship and state playoff goals they set last season.
However, Lehner, Crilly, and Escala all produced all-star caliber numbers, contributing to their team’s solid 18-5 overall record.
Crilly averaged 17.6 points per game and two steals, Escala averaged 11.5 ppg and 5 rebounds, and Lehner averaged 11.8 points per game and 6 rebounds.
The boys will also be joined by the Tyrone coaching staff, Head Coach Luke Rhoades, and assistants Steve Ramsey, Joe Laukaitis, and Randy Miles.
Blair County’s team brings talent from many surrounding schools, including Bishop Guilfoyle, Hollidaysburg, Central, Bellwood, and Williamsburg.
“It is an honor to be selected for this game and to have the opportunity to play alongside some of the most skilled players in the county,” Crilly said.
