Engle Claims All-Time Scoring Title in Blowout Victory

The Lady Eagles Stomped the Ligonier Valley Lady Rams

The Lady Eagles have been on quite a run lately winning 4 straight before this game. Tyrone added to this hot streak with a  66-35 in blowout win Tuesday night versus Ligonier Valley. The Lady Rams may not have had the best record but they had played some very tough opponents before Tyrone and their star point guard meant Tyrone couldn’t take this team lightly.

Senior guard Kasey Engle surpassed Tyrone’s All-Time leading scorer Sarah Grazier after nailing two free throws to finish off a stellar 29 point performance against Ligonier Valley. Grazier’s record of 1,562 career points stood for almost 20 years before Engle could claim it with 1,564 and another half of her senior season left.Maybe Tyrone will see it’s first 2,000 point scorer by the end of Engle’s career

Miller, their star point guard, also surpassed the Ligonier Valley women’s basketball leading scorer that night after making a contested layup and converting the “and-1” after the foul. Miller’s 21 point effort wasn’t enough though as the rest of the team could only muster up a measly 14 points.

“If you work as hard as you can, good things will happen.” said Engle.
