Emily Watson

Eagle Eye: Why did you choose to participate in the band?

Emily Watson: It wasn’t something I chose to do, my first year was because they promised an indoor majorette team and then I fell in love with guard and it just stuck with me.

EE: What instrument/role do you play in the band?

EW: Band Front (color guard, twirler)

EE: What was your favorite part about being part of the band?

EW: Meeting friends that have become like family to me feels like home.

EE: What was your favorite memory from band?

EW: When we talked in a southern accent for the 2 weeks of band camp, it turned into us creating a story to go along with it.

EE: What do you plan to do after graduation?

EW: Attend Slippery Rock University to major in graphic design and photography.

EE: Do you think you will continue to participate in the band/color guard?

EW: I sure hope so but only time will tell.

EE: How has being part of the band impacted your life?

EW: It gave me a safe space to go. Everyone was there and the love was crazy, I never felt alone.

EE: What would you say to people who want to be part of the band?

EW: Go for it, if you need a place to make you happy band is definitely the way to go

EE: What advice would you give to younger musicians/guards?

EW: Just keep trying, it doesn’t come easy. You have to push yourself if you really want it.

EE: Anything else you would like to add?

EW: KK Brodzina is the best 😉 😉 😉 😉
