GACTC Teacher Nicole Weakland’s Quote:

“Since she started our cosmetology program, Alexis has excelled with her grades, attendance and with her practical skills. Alexis has a natural ability in this field and she is not afraid to try something new and challenging. She is a team player and is always willing to help other students when needed. Alexis has recently been asked to be a part of our National Technical Honor Society, and has been one of my Star Shear Students, which recognizes outstanding students with outstanding attendance plus high theory, practical and ethical grades. She is very worthy of this recognition.”

Why did you choose this program?

Because I like to do hair.

What is your favorite GACTC  memory? Why?

When I went to the Nemacolin Spa in 10th grade.

What do you like about the program that you’re in?

My teacher, doing hair and my classmates.

Do you have any advice for the future GACTC students?

Do your work.

What are your post graduation plains?

To go into the workforce or go to barber school.
