Dance Fusion has continued its successful competition season at various group competitions, both locally and regionally.
Their hard work and dedication have paid off, and they have received many individual, group, and team awards over the last few weeks.
They competed at Ticket to Broadway in Pittsburgh in early February and finished the weekend with 16 Platinum awards, 24 High Gold awards, 30 1st place category finishes, 40 overall top 5 finishes, and 8 first place overalls.
In addition to adjudications, dancers and choreographers received special awards and recognitions. 3 scholarship recipients, 1 choreography award, 1 performance award, 1 technique award, 2 best costume awards, 1 top billing award, and the ADCC studio of excellence award.
The ADCC Studio of Excellence Award is given to the team with the highest scores across multiple levels that exemplify its values, which include a team’s ability to work together and strive for excellence.
The competition team took their talents to Hollidaysburg and swept the weekend in early March. They won 3 Decadent Diamonds, 9 Diamonds, 29 Platinums, 3 High Golds, 10 top 10 overalls, 6 top 4 overalls, 4 top 3 overalls, and 13 first overalls.
Other various awards included 3 title winners, 3 title runner-ups, 4 faces of Deca nominees, 5 highest-scoring routines, 3 highest-scoring routines by level, 1 music video nomination, 1 choreography award, and 1 making the impact award.
Individual dancers and group dances had the honor of being bumped up into the advanced category from the intermediate, which is a significant compliment from the judges.
Dancers finished their group competition season this past weekend in Lancaster.
