D.B. Featuring Cameron Bakhsheshe
Every week starting tight end and defensive end Duane Boone (a.k.a. D.B.) will interview a key player on the Tyrone Golden Eagles football team.
Cameron Bakhsheshe is also known as “The Flash” on the team. Or, as WTRN once called him, “the foreign exchange student.” Cameron has 4.4 speed, the quickest around. When I saw Cameron run the first time, my life flashed before my eyes.
D.B: How do you like the season so far?
Tuna: “There’s nothing better than being on the football field with super star Duane Boone.”
D.B: Why is your hair so perfect?
Tuna: “Every morning I shower for exactly eleven minutes, and then my hair fixes itself within a maximum of nine minutes. I don’t know how it does it; I was just born with super human hair.”
D.B: What position(s) do you play?
Tuna: “Defensive back and wide receiver.”
D.B: Where do you get your athletic ability?
Tuna: “Duane taught me.”
D.B: What got you started in playing football?
Tuna:”I’ll never forget my inspiration. I’ll never forget the dream. I had a dream that I was Duane Boone. The rush I felt in that dream was unexplainable. So when I woke up that morning I had a drive to be like Duane Boone.”
D.B: Do you want to play college football or in the NFL?
Tuna: “I’ll only play college football if Duane is on the same team as me. We can’t win without Duane. In the NFL…well the chances of Duane and I being on the same team is very slim. In other words the chance of beating the team he starts on is zero to none. So…unless we’re on the same team, no.”
D.B: What goes through your mind, for every interception you get?
Tuna: “My first thought is, “Is Duane on the field?” I need him to block the other team so I can get a touchdown.”
Cameron is a very hard working guy. Something that I’ve learned from Cameron is that hard work pays off. He wasn’t just born with that speed. He has worked hard his entire life and now it’s paying off.
Bonjour, I’m Duane. If you’re wondering why I use bonjour it’s because I am currently taking French 1. It’s something new for me, learning a new...
