The Tyrone cross-country teams lost to Bellefonte on Wednesday, September 11.
For the boys, the top three runners who finished were from Bellefonte.
The top runner from Tyrone was Senior Thomas Sutt who ran a 19:20. Juniors Alex Brumbaugh and Nate Erickson followed behind Sutt.
“I thought we ran well. Bellefonte is a good team and they just outran us that day,” said Coach Randy Wilson.
Bellefonte’s top runner ran an 18:44 and second ran an 18:53.
“It wasn’t my best performance but it was good,” said Brumbaugh.
On the girl’s side, Bellefonte had the top two runners again and Tyrone’s Sophia Whitkamp in third with a 24:17.
“I thought the team could have run better but we didn’t. Bellefonte has a good team,” junior Grace Corl said.
After this meet the boys record drops to 4-1 and the girls sit at 2-5.
