College Corner: Finnley Christine Heads to PSU Altoona
Christine looks to continue her hardwood heroics at the next level
Finnley Christine’s basketball career at Tyrone High will not be forgotten any time soon. Christine was a vital part of three Mountain League Champion squads during arguably the most successful era in Lady Eagle Basketball history. Her tenacity and skills on the court will be hard to replace and will also make her a valuable teammate as she moves on to the collegiate level. Christine is taking her talents to Penn State-Altoona and looks to get a degree in Biology and Sports Medicine.
EE: Why did you choose to go to this college?
FC: It was close to home and my mom works at Penn State.
EE: What are you most excited for in college?
FC: Having fun studying my major and playing basketball again.
EE: What will you miss the most about playing sports at TAHS?
FC:The fans who cheered me on at every game and my teammates. Coach Rhoades too.
EE: What advice would you give to younger athletes?
FC: Always play like it’s your last game. You never know when that might be.
EE: What is your intended major?
FC: Biology and Sports Medicine
