The Golden Eagles traveled south to Chestnut Ridge for their final duel meet of the season. The boys finished 2-1, and the girls were 1-2 in a tri-meet against host Chestnut Ridge, as well as Bedford and Penns Valley.
The course was mostly flat and tracked through the woods, and the rain made the course wet and muddy.
However, this didn’t stop the Golden Eagles, who had many strong performances.
“Despite the weather, everyone seemed to really like the course, and overall it was a great day for our runners and a good way to end our regular season. I’m looking forward to now moving on to the championship meet and districts,” Head Coach Tammy Wills said.
The best performances of the day came from eighth grader Sage Harbst, who won the girls junior high race, and senior Alex Brumbaugh, who placed fourth in the boys varsity race with a time of 19:19.
