Boys Tennis Clutches Up With Mountain League Win
Boys tennis clinched the co-mountain league title Friday against Huntingdon.
Senior Ethan Vipond and Paul “The Frenchman” Lemaire came up big for the Golden Eagles.
Vipond won his singles match as the number 1 player on the team. Lemaire also won his singles match, and Vipond and Lemaire handled there doubles match to secure the victory.
Tyrone’s next match will be Tuesday at home against Juniata after school.

#1) Ethan Vipond (T) def. Bruce Perow (H) 6-2, 0-6, 6-3.
#2) Paul Lemaire (T) def. Soren Borgardt (H) 6-0, 6-0.
#3) Peter Kruse (H) def. Noah Irvin (T) 6-0, 6-0.
#4) Brandt Sliver (H) def. Caden Brooks (T) 6-4, 6-4.
#5) Brandon Kemp (T) def. Johnath (H) 6-3, 7-5.
Doubles:
#1) Ethan Vipond, and Paul Lemaire (T) def. Bruce Perow, and Soren Borgardt (T) 8-4.
#2) Peter Kruse, and Brandt Sliver (H) def. Noah Irvin, and Caden Brooks (T) 9-7.
Tyrone is now 3-3 and will play other central PA teams throughout the rest of the season.
