Tyrone Boys Soccer fought hard as they ended their night in Bald Eagle with a 2-0 loss.
The first half was action packed, with both teams creating opportunities left and right. Tyrone’s midfield wingers, Junior Jake Baker and Senior Conner Bardell, were the facilitators of Tyrone’s movement. Once the ball got to them, they were able to streak up the field and cross numerous times.
Tyrone was also able to control possession for the majority of the first half, and Tyrone’s defense worked hard to keep the ball out of the net.
Freshman Tyrone goalkeeper Wyatt Walls was also working hard, as he made incredible saves for the powerful shots that Bald Eagle had.
Both Tyrone and Bald Eagle had lots of chances, but neither were able to put the ball into the back of the net in the first half.
The second half had similar traits to the first, with Tyrone and Bald Eagle holding equal amounts of possession.
However, a bad pass made by Tyrone was intercepted by Bald Eagle, who played through Tyrone’s defensive line. Bald Eagle capitalized and scored.
Late into the second half, Bald Eagle would score another unanswered goal off of a deflection, ending the game with two goals vs a scoreless Tyrone.
