The Tyrone Boys and Girls both lost their meet at Clearfield on Friday, January 31, 2025.

This meet marks the boys’ first loss since before Christmas against Central Cambria, snapping a six-meet win streak, and bringing their record down to 8-2 on the season.

Although the boys suffered a tough loss, they still put in the work and accomplished some personal best times.

There were no double winners for the boys.

Event winners for the boys were Lucas Bonsell in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.84, Isaac Yeskey in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55:51, and Patrick Van Kluenen in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.65.

The boy’s 200 freestyle team of Lucas Bonsell, Owen Dunklebarger, Patrick Van Kluenen, and Isaac Yeskey also won with a time of 1:41.05.

On the girls side, they lost to the Bison and fell to 0-10 on the season.

There were no double winners or first-place finishers for the girls.

Second-place finishers included Sophia Cowher in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:36.42 and the 500 freestyle with a time of 7:06.63. Blake Pennington also earned a second place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:28.45.
