Racketeers Lose to Bedford
The Tyrone boys tennis team was defeated by the Bedford Bison this past Thursday, March 30, with a score of 8-1. Tyrone is now 0-2 on the season and still looking for their first victory.
The only win for the Eagles came in the doubles match between seniors Braeton Miles and Colton Veres pulling away with a 10-6 victory.
“I think the net play from myself and Beef was the key to our win,” said Veres.
The match started off trading points back and forth until Tyrone was up 7-6. Miles and Veres then took the next 3 to take the point.
“The chemistry between us is something that will make us unbeatable,” said Miles.
The next match will be held Tuesday, April 4, against Hollidaysburg Area High School.
