Athlete of the Week: Piper Christine
Name: Piper Christine
Sport: Volleyball
Grade: 11
Accomplishments:
Piper Christine is the 2021 First Team Mountain Leauge All-Star. Christine was also a key asset to the Lady Eagles’ offense and defense this past season.
Eagle Eye: How did you first get involved in this sport?
Piper Christine: When I was in 5th grade, I was handed a flyer for a volleyball clinic so I went. I’ve loved the sport ever since.
EE: What other sports do you play?
PC: None
EE: Favorite professional sports team?
PC: Nebraska Women’s Volleyball Team
EE: Favorite professional athlete?
PC: Kendall White (Former Penn State Libero)
EE: Who do you admire the most? Why?
PC: Coach Mike Kraft because he has been my coach since I started volleyball. Kraft is always there for me and he still continues to support me.
EE: Favorite band /musician?
PC: Juice WRLD or Machine Gun Kelly
EE: Favorite movie/show?
PC: Wall-E
EE: Favorite food?
PC: Popcorn
EE: What advice would you give younger athletes?
PC: Never be afraid to make mistakes because those mistakes you make are making you better.
EE: What are your future goals?
PC: I am hoping to play college volleyball. I am planning to major in psychology.

Name: Kylee Nelson

Accomplishments:
Kylee Nelson has been a starter for the Lady Eagles Varisty Volleyball team this whole season. Halfway through the season Nelson become the starting Libero and has been a huge asset to the team.
Eagle Eye: How did you first get involved in this sport?
Kylee Nelson: My sister played and then Coach Kraft asked me to come out and be a manager.

KN: All my volleyball coaches and family members.
