Athletes of the Week: Nick Getz, Cameron Bakhsheshe, Connor Harper, and Parker Mitchell (4×100 Meter Relay)
Sport: Boys Varsity Track: 4×100 Relay Team
Accomplishment:
The relay team placed first in districts last week at Mansion Park in Altoona. They are seeded 12th of 26th in states this weekend at Shippensburg University.
Coach Everhart’s Quote:
“It was gratifying to see the boys 400R relay team put a fork in Bishop Carroll, whose relay boys had been trash-talking ours for the past couple weeks at Invites. Carroll had posted the #1 seed at both WCC and at Districts based on a host of Alice in Wonderland times that even the local press had called into question but which the BC boys apparently thought had some basis in, I don’t know, natural law as it operates in the space-time continuum, with their lead runner purportedly breaking the state record in multiple events. Let’s just say that he was fast, but not fast enough to keep up with the hype.”
