“Rhett is a senior and has served as out team captain for two years.  Usually the team captains only serve as captain for one year, but Rhett has been the exception [because] he is a natural leader, a super hard worker and he is great at keeping the team motivated.”

“Rhett has organized runs and other activities for the team over the summer and in the off season to help keep them training.  He is a great role model for the younger athletes, always offering words of encouragement and ideas for improvement.”

1.    How did you first get involved in this sport?

“I ran a 5k before my freshman year.  The coach was there and persuaded me to join.”

2.    What other sport(s) do you play?

 “Swimming and track”

3.    Favorite professional sports team?

“Pittsburgh Steelers”

4.    Favorite professional athlete?

“Micheal Phelps”

5.    Who is your hero? Why?

“Hmm…Ice Cube. Because there ain’t nothing to it.”

6.    Favorite band/musician?

“Red Hot Chili Peppers”

7.    Favorite movie?

“All the Harry Potter movies”

8.    Favorite food?

“Pizza and tacos”

9.    What advice would you give younger athletes?

“Put everything you can into your sport, make no excuses, and don’t rush through high school.”

10.  What are your future goals?

“Go to college for marine biology or chemical engineering.”
