Athlete of the Week: Joe Kohler

Sport: Varsity Track

Grade: 9

Accomplishment:

Set “freshman” records in the 1600m at 4:53 and in the 3200m at 10:41. (These records are informal in nature– non-official.)

Coach Everhart’s Quote:

“There is some debate among Kohler’s teammates about whether he qualifies for this award. We may need further testing to determine whether Joey is fully human, or, as some suspicion, partially ‘cyborg’. His endurance surpasses anything we’ve seen from a freshman since record-holders like Ben Ingle and Jim Wiggin. Keep your eye on Joe. He will leave a track legacy at Tyrone.”
