Name: Ethan McCloskey

Sport: Cross Country

Grade: Junior

Accomplishments:

Ethan has played an important part of the success of our boy’s team this year. He is our team captain. He has been consistent in his placing during meets and his times have been coming down with each meet. Ethan designed our cross-country t-shirts this year and we plan on using that design on our social media page also.

“Ethan has worked very hard this season and it is showing with every meet he runs. He has been a great team captain and is always willing to help out his teammates and his coaches when needed. I am really looking forward to seeing how the final weeks of the season will play out for him. It is an added bonus that he will be back again with us next year.”


EE: How did you first get involved in this sport?

EM: “In 7th grade I joined and tried it out and quit mid season because I just thought it wasn’t my thing, but I came back my sophomore year.”

EE: What other sports do you play?

EM: “Track”

EE: Favorite professional sports team?

EM: “Penguins”

EE: Favorite professional athlete?

EM: “Jesse Owens”

EE: Who do you admire most? Why?

EM: “Definitely my pap, just because of his outstanding wrestling career and his great talents in art and painting”

EM: “The Beatles”

EM: The Wolf of Wall Street

EE: Favorite food?

EM: “Steak”

EE: What advice would you give younger athletes?

EM: “I would say just to fully commit and give it your all. Always put your full effort into what you do and persevere.”

EE: What are your future goals?

EM: “I really want to go to college for graphic design, and travel as much of the world as possible. I really want to see the world and explore.”
