Name: Emma Witkamp
Grade: 11
Sport: Tennis
Emma has been a leader of the girl’s tennis team this season. She played as the team’s number 1 for solos and has done well this season, despite always facing the opposing team’s best player. She is only a junior and many on the team look up to her. Emma is amazing on and off the court. She is not only a tennis weapon, but also an academic weapon.
“Throughout the season, our team has created bonds and memories that will last forever. Tennis has changed my high school experience in ways that will affect me for the rest of my life. This sport has shown me determination, teamwork, and friendship in ways I had never experienced before. In the words of Coach K, “We win as a team, and we lose as a team,” Witcamp.
Emma will return to the court next year and it seems like she will dominate once again.
