Athlete of the Week: Cassidy Miksich
Name: Cassidy Miksich

Accomplishments:
Cassidy has been the leader of the golf team for many seasons. She recently played at the PIAA State Golf tournament on Monday, October 17th, and Tuesday, October 18th, and placed 11th out of 36 other girls. In her first 3 years, Cassidy won the district tournament. She also made it to the state tournament every year except her freshman season.
Eagle Eye: How did you first get involved in this sport?
Cassidy Miksich: “My parents bought me golf clubs from a yard sale when I was 4.”
EE: What other sport(s) or activities are you involved in?
CM: “YAN, Pops Extension, National Honors Society, Golden Revolution, Student Council, Quiz League.”
EE: Favorite professional sports team?
CM: “I just watch a good game, I don’t care who’s playing.”
EE: Favorite professional athlete?
CM: “Rickie Fowler.”
EE: Who do you admire the most? Why?
CM: “My parents because they’ve spent a lot of time taking me to tournaments and practices and they have supported me my entire life.”
EE: Favorite band/musician?
CM: “Queen.”
EE: Favorite movie?
CM: “Rocketman.”
EE: Favorite food?
CM: “Ice Cream.”
EE: What advice would you give to younger athletes?
CM: “Don’t let your bad games or matches linger with you because you can always improve and those bad moments don’t define you.”
EE: What are your future goals?
CM: “Play collegiate golf while majoring in psychology with a minor in forensics.”
