Accomplishments:

The Golden Eagles got the 3-1 win over BEA. Pearson also scored back to back goals in the boys’ game against Clearfield and managed to score a hat trick to give the Eagles the 4-1 win over the Clearfield Bison.

“Andrew brings intensity and speed to the Tyrone offense.  With a hat trick in the game vs. Clearfield and the game-winning goal vs. Bald Eagle, he is the leading scorer on the team thus far.  As a senior Andrew is one of our team captains, and he leads through his passion for the sport and hustle on the ball.  With the grades to back up his athletic achievements, he is a well-deserving Athlete of the Week.”


Eagle Eye: How did you first get involved in this sport?

Andrew Pearson: “I started playing AYSO when I was 5.”

AP: “Baseball and football”

AP: “Pittsburgh Steelers”

EE: Favorite professional athlete?

AP: “JuJu Smith-Schuster”

EE: Favorite Food?

AP: “Ranch and hot sauce pizza topped off with raw onions and banana peppers.”

EE: What is your favorite part about the sport?

AP: “I love looking out to the fans and seeing a packed house.”

EE: What is your greatest memory from this sport?

AP: “When we had to run 13 hills because of a player.”

EE: What is your greatest motivation to succeed?

AP: “My teammates.”

EE: What advice would you give younger athletes?

AP: “Practice until you get good.”

AP: “Go to college.”
