As the team leader for the Extreme Cheer All-Star team, Garett has led his team to four national titles this year. They have one more competition coming up in Baltimore on April 7.

Garett Matley: “My coach recruited me after seeing me tumble.”

GM: “My coach, Stephanie Jacoby, because she dedicated her life to improving all of her teams and doing whatever it takes for us to succeed.”

GM: “Chicken”
EE: What advice would you give younger athletes?
GM: “Practice like you’ve never won. Perform like you’ve never lost.”

GM: “To attend Gannon University and be on the competitive cheer team. I hope to make it to Dayton, Florida my freshman year with my new team.”
