Ask the Coach with Lady Eagles Head Coach Luke Rhoades
Eagle Eye: What are your thoughts so far on the season?
Coach Rhoades: I think we are playing hard and we need to continue to get better.
EE: What are your thoughts about your upcoming games?
CR: We are on the road for all but the last game of the season now so we need to make sure we are ready to play after bus trips.
EE: What areas will the team need to make improvements on?
CR: We need to rebound the ball better. I am really concerned with stretches during games when we don’t rebound the ball.
EE: The team’s record is 13-2 so far this season and is a really impressive start.
Now you have a tough task ahead of you going on the road for the rest of the season. Will this affect you in anyway?
CR: We have several tough games coming up and they are on the road. We need to continue to play with consistency.
EE: Who is really standing out so far this season offensively?
CR: I believe when we are playing good basketball the entire team is playing well. Last game we had 23 baskets and 19 assists which shows we are moving the ball and making the extra pass to the open girl.
EE: Who is really standing out so far this season defensively?
CR: I believe we have been playing very good team defense all year.
EE: Has the team came together yet?
CR: We still have a lot of work to do and we have many areas we need to improve.
EE: What is your spirit animal?
CR: I have no idea what a spirit animal is.
