Ask the Coach with Head Coach Jason Wilson: Week 5

Eagle Eye: How do you feel about last week’s win vs. Philipsburg?
Coach Wilson: “Overall it was a good win. We improved in some areas and we continue to get better.”
EE: Were there any individual performances that stood out?
CW: “Denver Light and Parker Mitchell did well in the first 9 minutes of the game. The offensive line did well considering we had 450+ total yards of offense.”
EE: What are you going to do about Denver Light’s quarterback and linebacker position?
CW: “We have guys that can hopefully step up and fill that position. The key is that we use our guys to their best attributes.”
EE: Bellefonte has a really good running back that’s hard to take down. How will the team stop Bellefonte’s run game?
CW: “We need to fly to the ball and drive our feet when we tackle. We also need to get low on our hits.”
EE: What is the offensive game plan for this week?
CW: “We need to continue to have a consistent passing and running game on offense.”
EE: What is the defensive game plan for this week?
CW: “We need to be aggressive upfront and attack downhill. We need to make tackles and no deep plays.”
EE: After four weeks of regular season games do you think the team is starting to gel together? Why?
CW: “Yes, we had to overcome a lot of injuries. Every time we took two steps forward we also took one step back. A lot of players are playing different positions and are playing well.”
EE: Would you rather watch, Friday Night Lights or Remember the Titans?
CW: “Either, the movies are both really good.”
