Annual Color Blast Fun Set for Saturday April 28th
Registration for the 2nd Annual Color Blast Fun Run, taking place on Saturday April 28th, 2018 will be accepted up to the day of the event. To register, community members can download information at http://tyronepbis.org, or you can pick up information in any of the Tyrone Elementary, Middle, or High School main offices. The hours run from 8am-3pm.
The cost of the run is $30.00. Participants can even register the day of the event, which will begin at 10:00 am and the color blast will start at 11:00 am.
The Fun Run is a is a five-kilometer untimed event in which participants are doused from head-to-toe in different colors. The powders used for throwing are made from cornstarch and food coloring, making them completely nontoxic.
The money from the fundraiser will go to towards the School Wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support programs for the Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. The Positive Behavior Support Program is what provides assemblies, reward days, and fun activities for students who excel academically and/or makes positive decisions.
There are several heats so serious runners can go first and then the recreational runners go next. The last heat will be for walkers, dancers and children under 10. The event is a fun run, so there will be no running clock, no places, and no awards for top finishers.
