Madison Noll, Erika Voyzey, and Sarah Isenberg tied and were all named first-runner up
Anslee Walk was crowned 2015 Homecoming Queen in front of the Friday night crowd against Penns Valley at Gray Field on October 30th, 2015.
Finnley Christine was named Homecoming Princess, and for the first time ever three girls, Madison Noll, Erika Voyzey, and Sarah Isenberg tied and were named first-runner up.
The 2014 Homecoming Queen Michaela Diehl was present to pass her crown to newly elected Queen Anslee Walk, representing the 2015 girls volleyball team.
“I never expected to win,” said Anslee Walk, “but it is an honor to represent Tyrone and my volleyball team as Homecoming Queen!”
There were 19 girls nominated for the 2015 court and all 19 girls nominated enjoyed the experience.
“The whole week leading up and including Friday night was such a fun experience. Despite the cold weather, being escorted across the field and representing girls basketball was an honor,” said Finnley Christine.
The girls were judged in many categories including a popular vote throughout the school, a personal interview, how they decorated their donation can, and the amount of money raised for their chosen charity.
“Mrs. Smith, Mr. Tanner, and Mrs. Beigle did a fantastic job at coordinating all of the events and activities,” said runner up Madison Noll.
The night was far from over after the crowning ceremony. The Golden Eagles leveled the Penns Valley Rams by an impressive score of 34-6.
