Tyrone Area School District youth from PreK through elementary school are invited to dress in their Halloween costumes for an evening of fun activities at Tyrone Area High School on Tuesday, October 21, from 5 to 7 pm for the 12th annual YAN Halloween Event.
At least 15 TAHS clubs and sports teams will fill the first and second floors of the high school with fun activities for the children.
These range from educational lessons that will inspire curiosity to fun crafts and games for kids of all ages and skill levels. There will also be a free photo booth for friends and families to remember the evening.
The event is free of charge, but families are encouraged to make a small donation. All proceeds from donations will go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Pumpkins and small gourds will also be available for purchase in the main lobby.
The event is sponsored and organized by the Tyrone Area High School Youth Action Network, one of the largest student clubs at TAHS. The group works throughout the year to organize family-friendly activities and raise money for those in need, both at home and abroad.
In addition to the Halloween Event, YAN also sponsors the annual Pennies for Panzi fundraiser to support the Panzi Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the 4D Movie Night in the spring for students in the elementary school.
YAN invites everyone to Tyrone Area High School on October 21 from 5-7 pm for a hauntingly good time filled with laughs, games, candy, and Halloween fun. It is guaranteed to be a memorable night with many smiling faces.
