Tyrone takes third in TOB Chapters at IUP
On October 24th, 2015 the Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching Band traveled to Indiana University of Pennsylvania for the Tournament Of Bands(TOB) Chapter 11 regional championships.
The band placed third out of a total of six bands. The bands in group 1A that were in attendance were Brockway Area High School,Windber Area High School, Conemaugh Township, Juniata Valley, Kane, and Tyrone.
Tyrone placed third behind Conemaugh Township and Windber Area High Sschool with a score of 85.38.
“Not only did the band reach their goal of an 85.38,but the band beat Brockway High Sschool, moving up from 4th place into third place.“ said Mr.Hock.
All bands in attendance got a special treat from the IUP Marching Band. There set included iconic songs like Bohemian Rhapsody and Amazing Grace.
This week, the Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching Band will travel to Camp Hill, Pennsylvania for Atlantic Coast Championships. The band will perform at 3:45 pm.
