Eagle Eye: Why did you choose to participate in the band?

Cliff Roberts: I wanted to pursue my interest in music after learning to play from my grandfather.

EE: What instrument/role do you play in the band?

CR: I play percussion for the marching band.

EE: What was your favorite part about being part of the band?

CR: The sense of community, it’s like a second family.

EE: What was your favorite memory from band?

CR: My first competition where I got to see how supportive of each other everyone was.

EE: What do you plan to do after graduation?

CR: To attend college and major in nursing.

EE: Do you think you will continue to participate in the band/color guard?

CR: If I can yeah, if not I still plan to pursue music in my free time.

EE: How has being part of the band impacted your life?

CR: It has helped me find a community of people who are all talented musicians that support each other, as well as led to many new close friends.

EE: What would you say to people who want to be part of the band?

CR: It may not seem easy, but try to always be there and do your best. And remember everyone there will help you if they can.

EE: What advice would you give to younger musicians/guards?

CR: Always try to do your best everyone messes up, but it’s no big deal as long as you are having fun and doing your best

CR: The band is a very supportive community, even on a bad day doing practice can make that day significantly better
